Yesterday marked the opening game of our Peace Cup campaign in the Philippines. We won the game 1-0 in what was a close encounter. I was delighted to Captain the team to victory and score the winning goal. It was a nice early birthday present. The squad we have now is very young, average age of the team is 22/23 so it was important for me to use all my experience to help these guys. They are showing a great attitude and willingness to learn so I am pleased about that because it will benefit the National Teams results in the long run. Our next game is against Hosts Philippines, they lost their opening game so it will no doubt be a very competitive game and one we are looking forward to.
