On Tuesday we ended our Peace Cup Campaign in The Philippines on a disappointing note losing 3-1 in the final after leading one nil. In the last ten minutes we conceded, the heavy waterlogged pitch and 2nd game in just three days took its toll. I think there were lots of positives for my young team mates to take from these games. The exposure and experience they gained will do wonders for their development and for the improvement of Pakistan football in the long run. The last 5 Internationals we have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 2 so there has been some improvements with the new regime.
I would like to thank the Philippine Football Federation for inviting Pakistan to take part. I hope to compete in this annual event again next year.
Now its back to the day to day of club football with two tough away games on the horizon.
