It was great to lead the team out as Captain against Preston in the second round home tie. Preston played a full strength side and narrowly won the game 2-1 in injury time. I would like to thank the fans for the fantastic support, it was a great atmosphere which helped the boys put in an excellent performance which the manager was well pleased with. If we play with the same organisation and intensity in the forthcoming league games I'm sure we can put a run together.
