This evening I was involved in the Islam Expo event which is a four day spectacular event aimed at bringing diversity in Islamic arts, cuisine, fashion to name but a few. The primary purpose of the event is to build bridges between Britains Muslim communities and the rest of society.
One of the areas which was being debated was the positive use of sport to encourage intergration with the help of Governing Bodies such as the F.A (http://www.thefa.com/) who happily helped with the whole event by being present.
It was good to participate in a panel of peoploe giving feedback from my own experiences. Also took part in a Q & A session which went very well. Football amongst all other sports is very powerful in helping to encourage social harmony.
